Location
Cleverly constructed on the slopes of a small hill in the private Ongava Game Reserve and along the southern boundary of the Etosha National Park, this lodge offers the chance to discover the magical landscapes and wildlife of one of Southern Africa’s premier wildlife reserves. The easiest and quickest method of transport is a short flight from Windhoek, taking just over one hour; alternatively a self-drive will take approximately four to five hours.
Accommodation
Fourteen stone and thatch chalets, all featuring private wooden verandas overlooking the reserve, are spacious, private and air-conditioned. Large en-suite bathrooms feature indoor and outdoor showers.
Dining
Outdoor dining under the stars whilst viewing game drinking at the watering hole is an experience that will never be forgotten. Buffet breakfasts and a la carte lunches and dinners are served in the restaurant under thatch, or in the split-level lounge or dining room. All offer outstanding views of the camp’s watering hole which is illuminated at night.
Facilities
Enjoy 4x4 drives through both Ongava private reserve - surely one of the best places in the world to see black and white rhino - and the Okaukuejo area of the Etosha, where you will go in search of lion, elephant, cheetah, gemsbok, springbok, zebra and more. Within the private reserve there are options for guided walking safaris, including tracking white rhino on foot. The lodge offers a hide which is available to guests through the day and evening, located just metres from the the floodlit waterhole. Additional facilities include a swimming pool, curio shop and a small spa with outdoor treatment rooms with views, of course.
