Location
Pretty Beach House is located on the tip of the stunning Bouddi Peninsula, 90 minutes north of Sydney. Perched high on a forested escarpment, the property has spectacular views out over Pretty Beach and onto the ocean. It’s in the middle of Bouddi National Park meaning excellent coastal walks and wildlife spotting opportunities. Guests can also make use of the resort’s private boat, or arrive by seaplane, to get a different perspective on the peninsula’s verdant geography.
Accommodation
The luxury guesthouse comprises of just four pavilions, all of which include a private balcony and pool, expansive decks, living areas over split levels, heated flooring and a well-stocked open bar. Choose between a bay or treetop view, the secluded, hideaway pavilion or the larger “retreat” guesthouse. Features such as wood burning fireplaces and travertine bathrooms make these the most luxurious of these beach houses.
Dining
The dining room at Pretty Beach House showcases seasonal menus based on fresh produce from the extensive kitchen gardens at its sister property, found just around the corner – Bells at Killcare. Casual breakfasts and long lunches, taken at your leisure, have a touch of Italian influence in dishes such as local crayfish antipasto and eggplant capnoata. Picnic hampers of just-baked paninis, fresh fruits, cakes and tarts are also available. Similarly considered, dinner menus are designed daily with guests’ tastes never far from the chef’s mind. Expect signature Italian risotto and slow-cooked beef cheeks all immaculately presented. You’ll have the choice of taking your meals in private, in the main dining area, as a chef's table experience, al fresco in the property’s grounds or even, for something different, on the property's luxury boat.
Facilities
To tempt you away from the relaxing poolside, staff create itineraries that let you take full advantage of the resort’s location and facilities. Be it a cooking or wine school with an onsite expert, an aboriginal didgeridoo welcome ceremony, a guided bay walk or a talk on the ancient rock carvings on the property, there’s something for everyone. There’s also flower-infused spa treatments and pizza from an Italian-imported clay oven to be enjoyed.
