Sea Dragon's stylish rooms and villas overlook the rugged coastline, beaches and Kangaroo Island's verdant wilderness, offering the ultimate in eco-friendly luxury.  This full-service boutique retreat even has its own secluded, private beach - Pink Bay. Accommodation options are scattered around the peninsula, giving a real sense of privacy - and yet Sea Dragon is just a 20-minute drive from the Penneshaw ferry or a 50-minute drive from Kingscote airport. 

Accommodation

Choose from three superb accommodation options, ranging from beautifully appointed Deluxe Ocean View Rooms to the expansive and exclusive Luxury Ocean View Villas, each of which has a private outdoor bath and unrivalled coastal views for the ultimate romantic upgrade. In between are Superior Ocean View Suites situated closer to the main dining area, featuring a larger lounge area and can sleep three adults or two adults and two children (12-17 years). All rooms and villas come with with an outdoor deck and comfortable outdoor furniture. Wildlife abounds here, so expect to see kangaroos, wallabies and amazing birdlife, even from the comfort of your accommodation.

Dining

With menus designed to showcase the very best in regional produce – with many ingredients sourced directly from Kangaroo Island itself, and herbs and edible plants even grown at the property – the dining at Sea Dragon is a delicious, local affair. From the dining room - which also features spectacular ocean views - guest will enjoy included daily premium breakfast and two-course dinner, with selected beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks also included in the price. For something extra special, sumptuous seafood platters – think freshly oysters, lobster, mussels,  prawns, octopus and abalone - are available to pre-book for an additional cost. 

Facilities & activities

When not relaxing around the property, guests are invited to experience the island through a range of expert-led tours, offered by the lodge. Guests staying a minimum of two nights will be treated to a full-day nature tour, taking in Seal Bay Conservation Park and Flinders Chase National Park, with an included lunch at the famous Vivonne Bay General Store – don't miss the famous (and delicious) whiting burgers. Then, on an included half-day Taste of Kangaroo Island Tour, guests will explore the best of the local food scene, with highlights including everything from award-winning gin to a honey farm and eucalyptus distillery, depending on the season. If you've time, why not spend a few extra days just to relax  and enjoy the beautiful location or book additional tours, including wine tastings and ocean safaris with the chance to swim with dolphins and seals.

Sea Dragon also welcomes families with children aged 12 and above.
