Location
Renowned as Namibia’s most remote camp located in the extreme north-west at the end of the vast Hartmann Valley, the luxurious lodge is nestled in a lush belt of riverine forest. This camp is only reachable by a three-hour light aircraft trip from Windhoek, inland from the Atlantic Ocean and Skeleton Coast.
Accommodation
Eight wood, canvas and thatched villas are set above rushing river rapids and surrounded by mile after mile of unexplored wilderness. Each stylish tent has an en suite bathroom, a ceiling fan and mosquito nets, with designs inspired by the culture of the Himba people.
Dining
Delicious meals at Serra Cafema are served in the shaded dining area, on private verandahs or out on the deck next to the flowing Kunene River.
Facilities
Due to its location, activities at Serra Cafema enable the exploration of a diversity of landscapes and eco-systems. Such include nature drives, quad biking, walks and drives into the Hartmann’s mountains and boat trips along the Kunene. Facilities at the main lodge include indoor and outdoor dining areas, a sunken lounge, a library and a swimming pool with beautiful river views.
