Relax and unwind in one of just four residences amongst beautiful gardens and tinkling water features yet just a few minutes away from the attractions of Alice Springs. This self catering accommodation has a true sense of place with an abundance of indigenous art and embraces indoor/outdoor living perfectly.
Location
Vatu Sanctuary sits on the northern side of Alice Springs less than a five minute drive from the centre of town and is close to the Alice Springs Telegraph Station Historical Reserve. Alice Springs Airport can be reached from all major Australian cities and is a 15 minute drive from town.
Accommodation
Tucked behind high walls Vatu Sanctuary has four private residences which offer every creature comfort. The Pond Residence is also known as the Big House and offers 3 bedrooms, a large open plan living and kitchen area which is fully equipped. There is a large veranda and private garden space too. The Kingfisher Residence has two bedrooms and looks out towards the Buddha pond; there is a well equipped kitchen area and comfy lounge. The Studio and Bure are smaller, yet no less charming, again with full kitchen facilities; the Bure in particular is very private with its own garden.
Beautiful, indigenous art work adorns the walls of each retreat.
Dining
Vatu Sanctuary is self contained, there is a small range of shops including a supermarket, butchers and take away within a couple of minutes walk and the centre of Alice a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk where you’ll find a choice of restaurants. Breakfast and afternoon tea baskets can be arranged.
Facilities
There is a large saltwater swimming pool, BBQ area and tranquil gardens to enjoy. Private massage treatments and private catering can be arranged.
