Activity adventure
Watch sweeping beaches front mountainous forests as you explore the North Island’s spectacular southwest. You’ll start by driving out to the Kapiti Coast where a scenic helicopter flight will showcase the green-dappled Kapiti Island, landing at the Southwards Car Museum – a world-renowned classic automobile collection. After a self-guided tour, you’ll be picked up and transferred to the Nga Manu Nature Reserve for a talk on the region’s wildlife, an eel-feeding session and a chance to get up close to the country’s favourite bird – the kiwi. Then, before your journey back to Wellington, you’ll end at the Tuatara Brewery to sample some of the craft beers on offer. This is also available without the flight option.
