This remarkable trip sees you explore the stunning region of Newfoundland & Labrador, the often-overlooked province of Canada that's just as beautiful as its big-name neighbours. You'll start among St John's' colourful row houses and winding cobbles before picking up your included hire car and taking the ferry to the stunning Fogo Island where you'll stay in the five-star eponymous Inn. Enjoy a wealth of activities based around the seven unique seasons of the island, from berry foraging and whale watching to bonfire barbecues and wildlife walks. It's all done alongside rooftop hot tubs and saunas before you enjoy ultra-fresh produce plucked straight from outside's wilds in the spectacular dining room and folk music evenings among the cosy fireplaces of the lounge.

UK to St John's
After starting your trip in style with complimentary, VIP airport lounge access, take your flight from the UK to St John's. On arrival, collect your rental car and head to your hotel for this evening, the historic Murray Premises, with stunning views of the city's jellybean houses and steep criss-cross cobblestones. You're just moments form the famously colourful and buzzing George Street, then back at the hotel enjoy the likes of an indoor pool and fitness centre before drinks and evening canapés in the opulent restaurant.

Fogo Island Inn
From St John’s, make an early start on your scenic drive north towards for the ferry crossing to the 5-star Fogo Island Inn. This stunning design hotel is all innovative, Scandi design that looks over craggy grey rocks; a place where seven seasons are the basis for a wealth of wonderful activities. Enjoy three nights here on a full board basis, enjoying free use of bikes and storm weather gear. It's Atlantic cod that's the crowning glory here, best explored with fishery tours, then depending on which season you visit, from March's pack ice to September's berries, enjoy fireside barbecues on the rocks, wildlife walks, seabird and whale watching, sandy cove walks with the resident Newfoundland dogs and foraging for berries. If the weather won't comply, there's also an exercise room, cinema and heritage library. Warm up on the fourth floor rooftop Scandi-esque deck with wood-fired saunas and outdoor hot tubs, then come evening, you'll enjoy meals among the sprawling chandeliers and endless ocean vistas of the rugged Barr’d Islands, bobbing icebergs and breaching whales as you sample the likes of ultra-fresh fish, caribou sausages and quail eggs. Days are perfectly culminated in the intimate bar and lounge where local musicians play folk songs alongside fireplaces, cosy armchairs and a seemingly endless selection of creative cocktails and drinks.

Fogo Island Inn to St John's
After breakfast, drop off your hire car before boarding the ferry back to St John's and heading back to the Murray Premises. Take advantage of what you may have missed last time – perhaps head on a boat trip to the Battery, climb the Cabot Tower for stunning views of the rainbow-coloured skyline, or wonder the striking clock towers of the Basilica cathedral. Or, go further afield and explore the fjord-esque lakes and waterfalls of epic Gros Morne National Park.
