Claire Howes

After studying travel and tourism and languages in college, Claire found her passion for the world of travel and soon started her career via an apprenticeship with a high street travel agent, working her way up to customer service manager before leaving for a role in tour operations elsewhere. Now, with almost 20 years in the travel industry Claire has travelled extensively around the world, in particular throughout Europe and North Africa visiting countless Mediterranean beach resorts from Greece to Croatia, island hotspots in the likes of Cyprus and Spain, bustling cities such as Marrakech and Istanbul and scenic lakes & mountains across Alpine Europe.

Claire points to Portugal as her favourite country in Europe, having visited an impressive 18 times, citing the warm hospitality, miles upon miles of pristine sandy beaches and picturesque driving routes as her favourite aspects. Elsewhere, Claire has a wealth of experience to draw on when it comes to planning holidays, from whale watching in Iceland and stays at private Riads in Marrakech to white water rafting and Northern Lights spotting at Icehotel 365 and sailing the seas of Mykonos in a private yacht.
