This restored, colonial 19th-century bungalow offers true 5-star luxury hidden among the jungles and beaches of Sentosa Island, blending contemporary design with authentic Asian details.
Lodgings, concealed in beautifully landscaped grounds, come in four categories: rooms with private balconies and Jacuzzis, elegant, split-level suites with cosy living areas, stylish villas alongside outdoor terraces and private plunge pools, and the most luxurious, colonial-style Manors. A true private retreat, these two-level delights are all grey contemporary furnishings with tropical flourishes and boast private lap pools, sprawling decks and outdoor dining areas.
Dining is one of the resort’s many draws and main restaurant Cassia offers authentic Cantonese cuisine with a contemporary twist. Expect to indulge in the likes of wok fried prawns, five-spice roasted pork belly, black truffle dumplings and lobster noodles, or visit seafront The Knolls for a Mediterranean spread. Either is best enjoyed after a sundowner at the chic, sweeping lines of glamorous Bob’s Bar. Private dining in-suite, on the terrace or overlooking the ocean makes for a romantic evening, or, for something truly special, visit the Chef's Table in the homely kitchen with space for 20 diners who'll enjoy personalised menus.
Capella is all about indulgence, and the award-winning spa doesn't disappoint, using all-organic products for signature treatments and four-hour 'detox days' in nine spa suites with private gardens, steam rooms and swimming pools. Sentosa Island itself has golden, palm-fringed beaches, such as the tranquil Palawan Beach or the beautiful Tanjong Beach, lined with food stalls and lively beach bars which gets even buzzier over the weekend. For the adventurous, take a ride on the MegaZip and enjoy breathtaking views of the jungle canopy or visit Singapore’s first and only bungee tower at AJ Hackett; for something more gentle, race your family and friends down the Skyline Luge or visit the Images of Singapore LIVE for a fun, interactive journey to uncover Singapore’s history. Or, just spend a day enjoying the various theme parks on the island; there's plenty to do during your stay.
