Koper, Slovenia
Formerly an island, Koper basks in the sun of the Istrian coast, artificially linked to the Slovenian mainland in 1825. It now serves as Slovenia's only major port. With its Venetian architecture you could be forgiven for thinking that you hadn't even left Venice. This working city has charm aplenty, with the picturesque Tito square lies at its heart. The Cathedral of Assumption - with a bell tower dating to 1664, when the city was a regional capital of Venice’s republic - rises above the narrow streets nearby. Climb the 200 steps for a wonderful panorama of the city. Or, simply wander through atmospheric Čevljarska Ulica, the cobbled streets that host artisan shops, small bars and restaurants. Alternatively, an optional excursion will tale you to the Slovenian capital Ljubljana, where you will discover a lively city of parks, leafy open spaces and pedestrianised streets. Or visit the picturesque Bled Castle emerging from a tiny island in the centre of Lake Bled.
Note that the voyage departing 16 October 2026 calls at Trieste, instead of Koper.

Rovinj, Croatia
You will feel the Italian influence as soon as you step into this city, known as Croatia’s 'Little Venice'. Here you can enjoy walks along the seafront promenade and through the cobbled streets of Rovinj's old town, with its quaint houses that meet the lapping sea. The small streets and squares are lined with shops, bars, gelato stalls and restaurants , serving up delicious dishes infused with Istria's celebrated white truffles. You can explore the olive groves and vineyards of this sunny peninsular or visit villages where truffles are hunted by specially trained dogs. Or head out to rocky coves to swim in the clear transparent seas. Pula is also close by and its Roman ruins can be explored in an included excursion, including the magnificently preserved amphitheatre, which is still used to host festivals and concerts.

Kotor, Montenegro
The fortified town of Kotor boasts a spectacular location. The approach through the Bay of Kotor is one of Europe’s most stunning waterways is impressive and certain to be a highlight of this itinerary. The old town's warren of streets ooze charm and drip with history. Under Venetian control for four centuries, the city's UNESCO World Heritage Site old town is ripe for independent exploration. The thick stone walls and the mountains draws inevitable comparisons with the fortified Adriatic wonder of Dubrovnik, and yet Kotor's charming old town can claim greater authenticity, having been spared from shelling during Yugoslavia's breakup. If you fancy a challenge, you can tackle the 1,350 steps up the steep walls to St John's fortress - the views over the gorgeous bay are worth it.

Bari, Italy
Bari is a historic port town that makes for a great introduction to life in Italy’s unpretentious south. It is one of the main gateways to Puglia’s cultural wonders and yet the city's photogenic old town streets are worth exploring in their own right - the included walking tour is a popular option. Don't miss the white Cattedrale di San Sabino with its vaulted archways, mosaics and large rose window. Another included excursion option could take you to nearby Polignano a Mare, located above a spectacularly scenic wedge of urban beach that is usually full of sunbathers and snorkellers in the crystal-clear water. Puglia’s whitewashed villages and stunning beaches will , of course, complete for your attention, and optional excursions to see the conical-roofs of the fairy-tale trulli houses of Alberobello or to Unesco listed Matera's ghostly cave dwellings are also on offer.

Dubrovnik, Croatia
Today is a real trip highlight as you arrive into Dubrovnik – a walled city of winding limestone streets framed by enchanting baroque architecture and the Adriatic’s shimmering blue. Again, you’ll have a choice of excursions, including speedboat trips out to hidden grottos and farm-to-table food experiences featuring wine-paired gourmet dining. There’s a Medieval city tour, of course, or you can spend a leisurely afternoon in nearby Cavtat. While for something a little more adventurous, a half day ATV adventure buggy adventure or speedboat and snorkelling excursions are among the many option excursions on offer here.

Take the opportunity to explore the Old Town’s maze of stone streets, host to charming cafes and buzzing bars, perhaps paired with an olive oil tasting, or venture further afield with options that range from RIB boat island tours to tours of pretty Trogir or the beautiful Krka National Park.
Note that the voyages that depart on 4th June, 3 July and 16 October 2026 call at Hvar Island, instead of Split.
