Introduction
Visits to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve are a relatively new addition to Botswana's holiday destinations. Closed to visitors until the late 1980s, only a handful of people get to visit this untouched wilderness each year.
The Central Kalahari Game reserve covers a vast region. During the drier months the seemingly unending expanse offers a stunningly isolated safari experience, while after the rains the wide plains flood with flora and fauna that, in turn, attract vast numbers of predators.
At the heart of this reserve stands the Kalahari Plains Camp, with its excellent access to big-game viewing, making it the areas premier place to stay.
