Introduction
Phu Quoc is Vietnam's largest outlying island, located off the south-west coast in the Gulf of Thailand. It's largely untouched by tourism, and just a short flight from Ho Chi Minh City, making it a perfect spot to escape to for some beach relaxation.
A picture-perfect island, which offers some of the best seafood in Vietnam, Phu Quoc is relatively remote. More than half of this peaceful paradise makes up the lush Phu Quoc National Park, where mountain peaks tumble into dense tropical jungle, dotted with hiking trails and home to abundant exotic wildlife. Duong Dong is the largest town on the island, its popular day and night markets selling local produce and fresh fish.
