Tuxtla Gutierrez is the capital of Chiapas and has plenty of eco-tourism activities on offer.

In nearby Cañon del Sumidero and the Cerro Mactumactzá State Reserve you can admire the region's flora and fauna and take relaxing walks through caves with painted walls, while the Nezahualcóyotl reservoir is the place to come if you enjoy a few days fishing.
