Location
With such a famous location, it’s little wonder that Baglioni Hotel Luna is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World. It’s found at the centre of this ancient republic, overlooking San Giorgio Island and the San Marco Basin. You can even arrive directly via the private jetty; for the true Venetian experience, opt for a gondola. Head the other way, and you’ll be greeted by the architectural delights of St. Mark’s Square along with such names as the historic Harry’s Bar, the Palazzo Ducale and the Bridge of Sighs. And, as you’re in the art form’s homeland, why not catch a show at the 18th century Venice Opera House? It’s just a few minutes’ walk away.
Accommodation
Housed in an aristocratic Venetian palace, this luxurious offering features silk-panelled walls and frescoes by the pupils of Tiepolo. The Venetian style continues into the rooms where Baroque prints line the walls and gilded furnishing furthers the elegance. However, it’s the original Murano chandeliers that are the most impressive. Deluxe rooms add in marble bathrooms while suites offer views over St. Mark’s Basin and the island of San Girogio or the city’s canals that run along St. Mark’s square and the Royal Gardens. Upgrade to a named suite for private terraces and truly opulent furnishings.
Dining
For dining, savour the best of Venetian culinary traditions at the fine dining Canova Restaurant by Sadler, with dishes created by Michelin-starred chef Claudio Sadler and presided over by acclaimed Executive Chef Gennaro Balice. You’ll take your breakfast under the grand 18th-century painted ceilings of the Marco Polo Ballroom before perhaps enjoying a drink at the canal-facing Caffè Baglioni. Here, you’ll enjoy magical views over the famous Giardini Reali of Piazza San Marco.
Facilities
To round off busy days exploring the delights of Venice, Baglioni Luna's spa is the perfect place to relax, featuring a wet steam bath, massage rooms & relaxation area. Here you can enjoy everything from massages and facials to beauty & skin treatments using all-natural products.
