Location
Located on the eastern side of Capri, Casa Morgano is a family-owned villa enjoying some of the most panoramic views on the island of the Bay of Marina Piccola and the green hills of the Monte Solarothe, surrounded by Mediterranean pine and cypress trees, featuring a mix of modern and old-fashioned decor. Piazzetta, the islands' main hub, with restaurants, shops, and boutiques, is just a short walk away. It's a lovely 15-minute walk along the cobblestone Via Tragara pathway to reach the Belvedere Tragara, which overlooks the Faraglioni rocks. The lobby is a large area with white walls and pillars, white and blue hand-painted tiled flooring, and brown wicker chairs with white cushions. The gardens offer a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere with green grass, cobbled walls with overgrown vines, tall trees, and the occasional statue.
Accommodation
The 27 rooms at Casa Morgano are spacious and bright, with either garden or sea views. Decor is traditional, expect hand-painted majolica tiled floors, large French windows, white walls, antique furniture and paintings, and pops of colour in the curtains and bedspreads. All of the rooms have large doors opening out onto a lovely furnished terrace with terra-cotta tiles and surrounded by potted plants. The suites include separate living areas with a sofa and coffee table. Bathrooms are spacious, with walk-in showers. Deluxe Junior Suites include a hot tub.
Dining
The day starts with a free continental buffet breakfast and the restaurant/bar serves light lunches, snacks, and drinks; though no dinners. Breakfast can also be served in your room
Facilities
The teardrop-shaped unheated pool is perfect for a cooling dip in high summer. There’s a swift laundry/dry cleaning service and a comfortable bar/lounge leading onto the terrace. Other amenities include free WiFi and full concierge service. Head to the west of the island to join the spectacular Sentiero dei Fortini (Fortress Walk) between the Grotta Azzura and Punto Carena, ending with an evening dip beneath the lighthouse, and book a private yacht or speedboat for a day-long exploration of the dramatic and varied coast.
