Hog Hollow Country Lodge, Plettenberg Bay, Garden Route

Location

Set on the edge of an indigenous forest, Hog Hollow Country Lodge is within easy reach of the beaches, shops and restaurants of Plettenberg Bay, yet offers peace, encircled by valleys and mountains and exceptional views of the surrounding countryside. Nestled along the Garden Route, Hog Hollow is located approximately one hour from its closest airport, George, at which flights connect from Cape Town and Johannesburg.

Accommodation

Hog Hollow offers 16 suites in white washed cottages, all situated across the gardens surrounding the main house. King size or twin beds feature within the rooms, alongside hand-crafted artefacts and decorated in earthy tones. All rooms feature a minibar, en-suite facilities and private decking overlooking a ravine. Three double storey rooms are used for families, in addition to the Villa, a three bedroomed double storey house, with its own infinity pool and wooden decking.

Dining

Farmhouse breakfasts are served on the wooden deck, overlooking the forest or near the huge fireplace. If the weather is cooler, in the evenings, guests enjoy meals around the candle-lit communal dining table located in the main house. The lodge prides itself upon using the freshest local produce for mouth-watering dishes. Both buffet and hot breakfast are served accompanied by a glass of bubbly, with dinner menues including smoked salmon, fillet of beef and rack of lamb.

Facilities

Hotel facilities include a sauna, swimming pool, library and pool terrace, with additional activities including river cruises, cycle trails, boat trips, bungee jumping, ski-diving, horse riding, scuba diving, fishing and salt water fly fishing.
