Location
This charming hotel, which takes its name from a traditional tuna fishing net, is set on a rocky headland in what is surely one of the most scenic spots along the Sorrento coast. Located just a ten-minute walk from Sorrento itself, it's the perfect base for exploring the Amalfi region, and boasts panoramic views across the Gulf of Naples, from Mount Vesuvius to the Bay of Sorrento.
Accommodation
To make the most of its privileged location, most of the hotel’s 24 rooms come with a private balcony, and offer more of those stunning sea views. Rooms are traditional in style, with wooden furnishings, and colourful Vietri tiles.
Dining
This being Italy, there’s a superb selection of dining options on offer. The renowned Radici del Sud restaurant serves catch-of-the-day seafood by candlelight to spectacular Bay of Sorrento views. Indeed, you can enjoy dishes ranging from Scialatielli with Lobster to tasty Orata with Sorrento citrus fruits, calamari au gratin, and a wonderfully moist and flavoursome lemon cake – a real highlight. There’s also an excellent collection of wines on offer, with a choice of local and international labels.
Facilities
While there's no pool, the hotel does feature a delightful beach club, set on a private pebble bay with a small restaurant and bar on site. It's a delightful spot to while away sunny afternoons between excursions along the Amalfi Coast.
