Location
Located towards the northern tip of West Australia’s North West Cape, Mantarays Ningaloo Beach Resort provides easy access to both the Cape Range National Park and Ningaloo Reef. Take to the coral gardens of the reef to catch a glimpse of turtles and filter-feeding whale sharks or trek into the park’s spectacular rocky gorges carved by ancient rivers, home to wallabies and emus. Novotel Ningaloo is also the only resort on Sunrise Beach, meaning quiet white sands and exclusive access to the accompanying marine life.
Accommodation
Modern, earthy tones with accent colours reflect the colours of Western Australia’s beaches and expansive sky-scape. All modern rooms have high ceilings and cooling floor tiles that lead out to private balconies. It’s well worth upgrading to one of the Superior Rooms, which come with a double spa bath, a private balcony or terrace and views of the ocean. For something a little more long-term, the hotel also features self-contained apartments and split-level two bedroom bungalows.
Dining
The hotel’s Mantaray Restaurant is ideal for enjoying a meal with friends or family while taking in the views over the pool out towards the Exmouth Gulf. A modern brasserie, the restaurant is open for meals throughout the day with tables both inside and al fresco. Continental breakfasts are served buffet style or you can opt for a hot breakfast cooked to order. For lunch and dinner, the restaurant specialises in seafood. Dishes include Peri-Peri calamari, Tasmanian salmon and pan seared striploin of kangaroo.
Facilities
With all the facilities that you’d expect from a superior resort, the hotel makes your stay as comfortable as possible. Highlights include the generously sized swimming pool overlooking the beach and the fully-equipped gym. To take a break from snorkelling, relax with a cocktail in the comfy chairs of the beach lounge and bar. Head outside the resort for fishing, diving, turtles and glass bottom boat views of manta rays, whale sharks and coral gardens.
