Location
As the state’s oldest European settlement, in Albany you’ll find a stately colonial quarter and a recently redeveloped waterfront, near where the Beach House sits. Minutes from the town centre, the hotel is 100m beyond the dunes of the 5km long Middleton Bay in something of a quiet, leafy suburbia. The city has an unusually Mediterranean climate with ideal swimming beaches a few minutes drive away. Learn more about the city’s almost 200-year history in its museums and art galleries.
Accommodation
This intimate B&B has a variety of accommodation to suit all needs. All rooms are well thought out with plush beds and comfortable, contemporary furnishings complemented by LCD TVs and the hotel’s DVD library. Main House Rooms are conveniently located near the hotel’s facilities while the more luxurious Collonade Wing rooms feature double spa baths and balconies that offer glimpses of nearby islands. Lastly, the two-story Garden Suite has a spacious king bedroom upstairs and a lounge area with private courtyard serviced with complimentary WiFi.
Dining
An excellent buffet breakfast is included in your nightly tariff. Choose from a selection of homemade jams, marmalades and muesli before ordering from the cooked breakfast menu. These include hearty cooked breakfasts and healthy options such as farm fresh asparagus served across an English muffin. Round off your breakfast with a freshly baked pastry. Also included is an afternoon tea, served daily with a selection of home baked treats. In the evening, a range of simple, light meals can be enjoyed in your room, the dining room or courtyard and, for those heading out, picnic hampers are available on request.
Facilities
In the summer, guests take to the Mediterranean-style courtyard with its Roman columns that beckon you into the sunshine to relax with a good book and glass of wine. In the winter, the roaring log fire of the guest lounge is the perfect spot to enjoy your complimentary glass of evening port. Alternatively, dig into the guest library of books, magazines, DVDs and board games for some evening entertainment.
