Introduction
Costa Adeje is the happy medium between bustling and secluded and, crucially, does it well. It's located in the southwest corner of Tenerife, a few miles from the busy resort of Playa de Las Américas and the less frenetic Los Cristianos, while the island's highest point, Mount Teide, rises up behind it in the distance inland as a dramatic backdrop.
Day trips into Teide National Park can be easily organised, although some visitors are happy to spend most of their time in Costa Adeje. And a volcanic sand beach, close enough proximity to Tenerife airport (20 kilometres away) and a range of accommodation options make it an excellent Tenerife holiday choice.
