Visit Prince Edward Island

Introduction

Despite being the smallest province of Canada, Prince Edward Island offers some of the most beautiful landscapes in the country. Pretty fishing villages, a lighthouse-dotted coastline, fabulous seafood and hidden bays and beaches make this one on Canada's most captivating regions, and one of its best-kept secrets.

Charlottetown

Charlottetown is the ideal starting point to explore the island, not only for its history, but also its central location. Explore more about the birthplace of Canada at Province House and visit the home of one of the Fathers of Confederation.

In the evening enjoy the musical Anne of Green Gables. Wander through the busy town of Cavendish to find the home of its author Lucy Maud Montgomery. Visit the fictional setting of Green Gables and you'll find the western entrance to the beautiful Prince Edward Island National Park. Relax on a selection of sandy beaches along the coastline or follow trails through the green woodland and meadows to explore the park fully.

Coastal drives

Follow the red clay roads along the North Cape Coastal Drive to visit picturesque fishing villages, Cedar Dunes Provincial Park and enjoy the annual Lobster Festival in Summerside. Meanwhile on the other side of the island, you can enjoy views of the landscape from Panmure Island Lighthouse or take a step back in time while visiting the 19th century Orwell Corners Historic Village.

World-class golf

Prince Edward Island also attracts keen golfers with its reputation as one of the top golfing destinations in Canada. Choose from a number of golf courses that have welcomed professionals through to those focusing on a day of family fun.
