There's endless adventure on offer, from hiking among verdant forests and surfing on deserted beaches to ocean kayaking and horse riding on lakeside trails. Culminate days with soaks in the hot tubs and saunas before the likes of Clayoquot Salmon and freshly-caught Dungeness crab are offered in the cosy open-fire of the restaurant, accompanied by excellent wines. All drinks and meals are included throughout, and it’s all bookended in Vancouver’s historic architecture and buzzing waterfront alongside a stay in a stunning contemporary hotel.

UK to Vancouver
After complimentary VIP airport lounge access, you'll board your day flight to Vancouver. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for this evening, The Loden, in Vancouver's picturesque Coal Harbour. This boutique hotel offers floor-to-ceiling curved glass windows and marble bathrooms, and you're just moments from the stunning Stanley Park and the delightful seafront. Tonight, perhaps head to the Tableau Bar Bistro, offering a range of seasonal in-house classic cocktails, before exploring Vancouver’s endless food scene, from Japanese eateries and fresh seafood to excellent steaks – Gotham Steakhouse is a firm favourite.

Vancouver to Clayoquot Wilderness Resort
After breakfast, transfer from Vancouver with an included short seaplane flight to the spectacular Clayoquot Wilderness Resort, where, on arrival, you'll be transported from the water's edge by horse and cart to the resort. You’ll stay in one of the luxury, en-suite white safari-style tents that dot the area, either along the water’s edge or among the dense woodland canopy. Enjoy a king size bed, day bed, underfloor-heated full ensuite bathroom and an indoor/outdoor shower, all made even more delightful with propane wood stoves, plush rugs, polished antiques, oil lamps and an abundance of candles. Perhaps head out on the half day fishing excursion we've included, or indulge in a soak in one of the three cedar hot tubs on the large waterfront deck. Tonight, experience the delights of the superb menu among the log fires of the cosy dining room – all meals and drinks are included throughout your stay. Expect the likes of seared Clayoquot Salmon, pea-crusted Peace River lamb rack, smoked Yarrow duck breast and freshly-caught Dungeness crab, accompanied by an excellent and extensive drinks list.

Days
4-5
Clayoquot Wilderness Resort
You’ve got the next few days to explore the resort and its stunning surroundings, but not before breakfast where there’s such delights as maple yoghurt parfait, giant buttermilk pancakes and a made-to-order smoothie bar, as well as an old-fashioned candy and cookie bar, available all day. But tear yourself away, because outside's wilderness offers a whole range of thrilling activities. Head out hiking and walk the ‘wild side’ interpretive trail with a First Nations Guide, take to the serene waters with a kayak trip, horseback ride through dense forest and along lakeside trails, mountain bike among the emblematic forest-carpeted hills, and spot whales, sea otter, eagles and bears on boat trips and guided hikes. There's more serene offerings, too – perhaps enjoy a spa treatment overlooking the dramatic landscape or relax in one of the two saunas. Then, the Lounge Tent is ideal for a sundowner before another spectacular dinner. On your final night, you'll be given a multi-course wine paired tasting menu, with highlights including porcini-crusted Haida Gwaii sablefish and heritage roasted pork rack with maple mustard glaze, alongside an excellent selection of award-winning wines.

After a final sumptuous breakfast, perhaps enjoy a final dip in the hot tub or short hike around the surrounding area. Then, take your included return seaplane flight to Vancouver and head back to the delights of The Loden. It's the perfect base to explore Vancouver’s offerings, such as its First Nations Totem Poles, art galleries and sprawling Chinese gardens. Perhaps head to the hotel’s spa before a stroll along dynamic Gastown’s streets peppered with 19th century buildings and boutiques, or the West End's public art and sculptures. Finish your evening in historic, charming Yaletown, where eccentric shops and buzzy bars line picturesque oceanfront walkways.
