Begin your holiday in style, with complimentary airport-lounge access before your day flight to the Peruvian capital. You’ll be met on arrival and brought, via private transfer, to the contemporary luxury of Lima’s Casa Andina. Sited in the bohemian district of Barranco, you’ll have Pacific Ocean views, pretty parks and some of Peru’s finest restaurants on your doorstep. Lima also impresses with spectacular, 16th-century churches and cathedrals – colonial landmarks on a grand scale.

Reserva Amazonica
Today, following a private transfer, you’ll fly to Puerto Maldonado – gateway to the Amazon Rainforest. A scenic cruise will then bring you into its jungled depths and your luxury thatch-roof cabaña. Set on an ecological reserve, you’ll enjoy a romantic seclusion and full-board dining inspired by the region’s tropical flavours. There’s even complimentary pisco sours. However, you’ll also want to explore on range of included excursions. Spot lizards on jungle walks, spy owls on night boat rides and join river otters and a turtles on a canoe. The canopy walkway, strung at toucan level 30 metres above the forest floor, is a particular highlight – as is spotting anacondas in the wetlands

Sacred Valley
Retracing your bow wake, you’ll return to Puerto Maldonado to make the flight down to Cusco where you’ll be met and brought out into the Scared Valley’s lush countryside. They’re views showcased by your 100-acre hacienda accommodation, all colonial furniture and authentic Inca masks. The next day, your private guided tour will bring you among the region’s highlights, taking in colonial towns, Moray’s spectacularly curved Incan terraces and the Maras salt mines. These great white tiers date predate the Incas. You’ll also enjoy an included lunch, sampling the local delicacies.

Machu Picchu
You’ll be treated, today, to a true world wonder. Boarding the Vistadome train, you’ll enjoy panoramic mountain views as you wind up into the Andes to arrive at Machu Picchu, following a short bus transfer. Here, a private guide will showcase the stunning vistas, archaeological treasures and fascinating history of this mountaintop citadel. Gaze out to mist-shrouded views and learn about its royal past. You’ll then retrace your route back down to Aguas Calientes to stay in a recreated Andean village, complete with waterfalls, whitewashed casitas and a superb full-board restaurant. It’s all set in a cloud forest, host to 214 bird species – including the golden-headed quetzal.

Cusco
Wind back down, on the train, to Cusco and your luxury accommodation – a 16th-century manor house beautified by pre-Columbian textiles and original murals. Surrounded by cobblestone streets, it’s perfectly poised for your private city tour. Cusco’s diverse influences are perfectly surmised by Coricancha, an Incan palace that’s been capped with a spectacular Spanish church. However, the city’s colonial influence is best felt in the main square, ringed by European arcades and watched over by a great Renaissance cathedral. You’ll then be brought out to uncover the city’s Incan surrounds. There’s the monolithic Sacsayhuaman Fortress, an artists’ workshop and a trio of archaeological sites, ranging from ceremonial caves to terraced fortresses.
