Fox Harb’r was created by the co-founder of Tim Horton’s coffee, who wanted to bring something that would help the local economy. Today Fox Harb’r is one of the finest hotels in Atlantic Canada, offering a wide range of activities and exceptional accommodation in a beautiful location.
Location
Fox Harb’r Gold Resort & Spa is located in the peaceful town of Wallace on the Nova Scotia’s Northumberland coast, a two hour drive from Halifax. There is also a runway for guests arriving by private plane and a deep water marina for those who choose to come by sea.
Accommodation
The rooms and suites are located within 12 manor-style houses with views of the golf course and Atlantic Ocean. Rooms are spacious with king or queen sleigh beds, seating area, fully stocked wet bar with snacks, kitchenette with microwave, fridge and coffee maker and private furnished terrace or balcony.
Dining
The Great Room offers fabulous views from the floor to ceiling windows and is an elegant restaurant, offering the finest local seafood and Nova Scotian specialities. The Willard has a relaxed atmosphere and a classic pub-style menu, perfect for lunch or a casual dinner. 24 hour room service is also available.
Facilities
The golf course is quite naturally a huge draw card and offers both a Championship course and a Par-3 short course. The Spa at Fox Harb’r is a full service spa drawing inspiration from its east coast setting and there is a wellness centre with a fitness studio, huge swimming pool, mineral pool and hot tub. There are four tennis courts, boasting wonderful ocean views, mountain bikes, sea kayaks, clay target shooting, fly fishing and a number of walking trails. During the autumn months Fox Harb’r offers pheasant and partridge shooting.
