Hotel Fjallet, Bjorkliden

Location

Situated on the edge of Lake Tornetrask, Hotel Fjallet is hidden in the beautifully situated Bjorkliden, surrounded by towering mountains and magnificent scenery. Located far from any noise or light pollution, Bjorkliden offers calm and quiet, large white expanses, and some of Scandinavia’s most beautiful views. The hotel is most easily accessed by flight to Kiruna, followed by a 90-minute transfer to Bjorkliden.

Accommodation

Rooms are compact in size, with a choice of single, double, twin and family rooms on a B&B basis. All rooms are decorated in classic ski chalet style and feature private bathrooms with a maximum occupancy reaching up to four people.

Dining

Hotel restaurant Lapporten serves up excellent Norwegian cuisine, made using locally sourced produce as much as possible and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Snobaren open-air café invites diners to indulge in Swedish fika (coffee and cake), and the freshest cinnamon buns or popular grilled hot dogs.

Facilities

Property facilities include equipment rental and a sporting shop, Bar Rallaren, a sauna, solarium, games room, children’s playroom and gym. In addition to this, skiing, husky sledding, snow-mobiling and Northern Lights tours are also possible; another tour worth considering is one to Kappasjakka cave, one of Sweden’s longest cave systems.
