Maison Wat Kor, Battambang

Location 

The beautiful boutique hotel of Maison Wat Kor is just two kilometres from Battambang in a small village that has preserved its culture with very beautiful traditional wooden Khmer houses on stilts.The town of Battambang is a historical and important city in western Cambodia. You can reach it from Phonm Penh or Siem Reap by taking a short drive. The hotel, which is dedicated to benefiting the local community, consists of three wooden houses, built according to traditional Khmer architecture. 

Accommodation 

There are four rooms at the hotel Frangipane that are located on the ground floor, and are ideal for families. There are also four double Lotus rooms that are upstairs on two pavilions. Each room is spacious and beautifully decorated with furniture and local materials. The rooms are comfortable, feature their own private bathrooms with hot water, and are air conditioned. 

Dining 

The hotel has a restaurant and bar. The restaurant, La Terrasse de Lotus, offers authentic and healthy Khmer cuisine. The ingredients are sourced from local markets or from the hotel’s own garden, where everything is cultivated with the greatest respect for the environment. 

Facilities 

Activities on offer at the hotel include cooking classes, trips to local colonial buildings, and visits to the ruins of temples and Buddhist stupas. You can also take time out to recuperate and have a traditional massage treatment. Alternatively, hire a bike, motorbike or tuk tuk, or join a kayak tour to explore the area.
