Location

This is one of the finest boutique hotels in Jodhpur, fusing traditional architecture and materials with contemporary design. The hotel has the best location out of all hotels in Jodhpur, as when you step outside you're right in the centre of its hustle and bustle, and moments away from the Mehrangarh Fort. The hotel's design also mirrors the beauty of the walled city itself, with a central garden and swimming pool, as well as exceptional vistas.

Accommodation

The hotel comprises 39 rooms, seven of which are suites with separate sitting rooms, balconies and bathrooms. Thirty-five have fabulous views of the Mehrangerth Fort, and the four remaining rooms have private gardens overlooking the old, restored buildings. Rooms are decorated in a modern minimalist style, with the highest degree of modern comfort and sophistication. Luxury Rooms are decorated in understated modern black and white design; Duplex Suites have private balconies, whilst Heritage Suites sit in the original Rajput residence.

Dining

RAAS has two restaurants, the Baradari which is a covered dining room, and the Darikhana, an al fresco café. The Darikhana is on the terrace, and boasts magnificent views of the Mehrangarh Fort, which glows pink in the day and is gloriously illuminated at night, and serves fragrant Indian dishes that sizzle with the aromas of hand-ground old Delhi spices. The Baradari on the other hand serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a selection of international dishes with a Thai and Mediterranean focus.

Facilities

The hotel offers a first-class spa, called the ila meaning ‘mother earth', because of its flow of healing energy. There's also a heated swimming pool, free WiFi connectivity, a hotel shop, and Jodhpur blue tuk tuks for sightseeing.
