Location

Set on a private peninsula surrounded by the Blue Bay Marine Park on the peaceful and unspoilt south coast of Mauritius, Shandrani is a haven for nature lovers, boasting three beaches and easy access to the Iles aux Aigrettes nature reserve a short boat ride away.

Accommodation

Shandrani runs on a B&B basis, but offers a fantastic all-inclusive option called ‘Premium All Inclusive Serenity Plus'. Almost everything is included, from à la carte dining and poolside snacks to champagne by the glass and a complimentary massage. Even diving is free for qualified divers. Rooms are spacious and never far from the beach.

Facilities

A nine-hole golf course landscaped into the resort's tropical gardens sets a challenge to both seasoned golfers and beginners, while water sports include diving, kayaking and kite-surfing (a rare extra). Venturing away from the resort's grounds, the Beachcomber Sport & Nature ecotourism programme offers close encounters with the island's incredible wildlife, as well as energetic sporting activities including mountain biking, trekking and canyoning. There's even a choice of two Clarins spas, providing an exceptional range of mind-and-body treatments.
