Location
Located in the ancient city of Varanasi and set within 40 acres of lush gardens, the Taj Ganges is easily accessed from the airport and sits on the busy Raja Bazar Road in the Nadesar Palace grounds. An ideal base for tourist travellers, Taj Ganges is within close proximity of the Ganges River, art galleries, the university and many temples.
Accommodation
The hotel’s sense of old world charm meets modernity extends itself to the rooms and suites, all of which elude a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. All rooms are tastefully decorated, Standard and Executive rooms offer space and wooden furnishings, with double beds and either city, poolside or garden views, whilst suites offer separate bedrooms and living space, with city views and large beds.
Dining
With a bid to always serve home-style cooking, the hotel prides itself on authentic and undiluted dining experiences, created from fresh and local produce. Focusing on Indian fare, the Varuna restaurant is regarded as one of the best fine dining restaurants in Varanasi, with an a-la-carte menu offering dishes including green chilli-spiced chicken, accompanied by yoghurt and an array of traditional breads, desserts and drinks. Alternatively, GAD offers a range of Indian, pan-Asian and continental dishes, served from an a-la-carte menu and buffet style.
Facilities
After a long day exploring the city’s popular offerings, the hotel spa is the perfect place to unwind and de-stress; services range from deep tissue treatments to relaxation massages. A fitness centre caters to every gym fanatic’s need, whilst the swimming pool located in the gardens is an ideal spot for curling up with a book or to take a refreshing dip.
