Location

Wrapped in a mountain wilderness of Kananaskis Country west of Calgary and just 12 miles east of Banff, but just outside the national park limits, Canmore can be the perfect alternative base to explore the national park. The Malcolm offers contemporary comfort just a short walk from the quaint small town centre with its impressive food and dining experiences, locally owned boutiques, and a vibrant arts and cultural scene, all with the majestic Rockies wrapped around it. All this within the backdrop of provincial parks, unspoiled wilderness, and show-stopping mountain peaks means Canmore is rapidly becoming celebrated as an unrivalled tourist destination in the Canadian Rockies.

Accommodation

The 124 rooms and suites offer views of the surrounding creeks and mountains, all with a design reflecting the heritage of past Scottish King Malcolm III, who is Canmore's namesake.

Dining

The Stirling Lounge is The Malcolm Hotel's casual dining experience, offering a variety of dishes from the Scottish Inspired to contemporary comfort food, where The Stirling Grill offers fine dining with an a la carte menu offering classic cuisine with a modern twist from Chef Graham Smith, such as venison tartare, followed by the signature King Malcolm burger complete with Wagyu beef, Foie Gras and black truffle. In warmer months drinks and snacks can be taken on the Creekside Patio with views of Spring Creek and the 3 Sisters Mountain Range.

Facilities

Nestled in the lobby is The Pulse General Store which features a coffee bar with artisan foods and gifts and souvenirs. Outside in the summer months is a beautiful decked pool area and hot tubs looking over Spring Creek and in the shadow of the 3 Sisters Mountains, plus an open-air mezzanine with fire pits and Fitness Centre. In the upper lobby is the Highland Games Lounge with pool table and a selection of games.
