The Serai, Jaisalmer

Location

The Serai Jaisalmer is a luxurious desert camp located just outside the medieval city of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan. Set on a hundred-acre private estate of indigenous desert scrub, the Serai draws inspiration from the designs of the royal caravan sites of Rajputana, blended with modern amenities and services. The camp is perfectly located for expeditions to Jaisalmer, camel safaris, and desert drives. 

Accommodation

The camp has 14 Tented Suites, six Luxury Tented Suites that each have a private walled garden, sunken heated pool and Jacuzzi, and one Royal Suite with a private garden, plunge pool, lounge and spa areas. Other shared spaces in the camp are the Dining Tent, and the Bar and Lounge tent, which has deep club chairs and plush accessories.

Dining

The Dining Tent serves traditional Indian delicacies, as well as delicious Western options for those that prefer international cuisine. The menu changes daily, and is planned to make sure there is always an eclectic selection, made with fresh ingredients. Alternatively, there's the option to dine anywhere else on the site that you'd like.

Facilities

As well as an organic vegetable garden and a swimming pool, the lodge also has a Raison d’Etre spa, which has four individual treatment tents. The Surjan Spa offers an eclectic menu of therapies, from rousing reflexology to cleansing scrubs and relaxing massages using organic Ayurvedic products. The lodge also has a pool, an organic garden, and Serai Boutique as well as a doctor-on-call, telephone, fax and email facilities.
