Location
Known as the city of seven mountains, Bergen is perfect as a base for exploring Norway’s beautiful coastline. To get a taste of Norway’s picturesque countryside just take the funicular railway, a short walk from the hotel, to the top of Floyen mountain. Standing at 320m above sea level, it offers unrivalled views of the city and its surrounding mountains and fjords. Back in the city, the hotel is ideally situated within walking distance of several of Bergen’s major attractions including its Hanseatic wharf. Recognised by UNESCO as one of Norway’s best examples of medieval settlements, Bryggen comprises of extensive remains of a merchant harbour. Elsewhere, the 13th century Royal Residence, bustling fish market and multiple museums and art galleries make Bergen an excellent tourist destination.
