Introduction
Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is located on the border between South Africa and Botswana making it the first transfrontier park in Africa. This isolated location means fewer visitors to the park, allowing for uninterrupted big-game sightings for those adventurous travellers that make it this far.
Kgalagadi offers a different safari experience to Botswana's more luxurious northern parks, with its camps aimed at the more self-sufficient traveller.
However the proximity to nature offered by these camps is what really sets the park apart. Here you can expect a truly immersive wilderness experience with superb viewing of some of Africa's most iconic animals including cheetahs, springbok and rare black maned lions.
