Introduction
Off the western coast of Finland an archipelago of islands is emerging from the sea at the rate of a centimetre a year. This stretch of coastline is also home to a sight more stereotypical of warmer climes, with white-sand beaches stretching for several miles along the coast. The seaside town of Pori, situated on the Yyteri Cape is one of the most popular beach resorts in Finland and during the summer months many people travel up from Helsinki.
