Location

This recently built hotel commands a prime location, situated in the centre of Lulea and at the gateway to Swedish Lapland. Contemporary rooms are decked out in colourful murals, bold Scandi furnishings, comfy beds and lovely large windows that let in plenty of natural light. Chef Marcus Samuelsson is in charge of culinary affairs at the Clarion Sense. An intriguing figure, who has received widespread critical acclaim and cooked state banquets for Barack Obama, serves up an inspired menu. His restaurant, Kitchen & Table, transforms the freshest Atlantic ingredients into cosmopolitan Manhattan-inspired dishes. The Lobby Bar is a great place for a stylish cocktail or two; the hearty breakfasts included in the room rate will take care of any indulgence the night before.

Close to the hotel, the delights of Luleå's pubs and bars provide a selection of warm and sociable spots to meet the locals, while back at base, the state-of-the-art spa offers indulgent relaxation for those that prefer to remain indoors. Meanwhile, if you do feel like hitting the adventure trail early, a number of winter excursions throughout the Luleå region can easily be arranged.
