Location
Situated only 45 minutes from Cape Town and the International Airport, Franschhoek is surrounded by majestic mountains and beautiful vineyards. Neighbouring towns Stellenbosch and Paarl are within 30 minutes by car, however if you chose to stay within Franschhoek, the several boutiques, chocolate factory, museums, historical sites, restaurants, wine farms, views and shops are sure to surpass every need. Franschhoek Country House and Villas are located on the outskirts of the village- 1km away from the main town.
Accommodation
The original, five-star Franschhoek Country House accommodations are all designed with guest’s comforts in mind. All rooms feature en-suite facilities, charming spaces and luxurious amenities and services to encourage relaxation. Standard rooms are situated within the original manor house, renovated to feature a small lounge within the en-suite area and private balcony. The Luxury rooms are located separately, in addition to the same facilities; the rooms include extra space and a lounge area in the room and private patio or balcony overlooking the fountains and gardens of lavender. Other rooms include the Garden Cottages and Villa Suites.
Dining
Acclaimed restaurant: Monneaux Restaurant, offers fine wines and contemporary cuisine, set upon the original site of Franschheok’s first perfumery. Lunch is enjoyed on the fountain terrace under a pepper tree, whilst dinner, a more elegant affair, is consumed in a relaxed dining room, within the original manor house. Executive chef, Louis Jansen, and his teams cooking centres around culinary Cape classics from a-la-carte menu, some dishes include the marinated and Seared Franschhoek Salmon Trout Tataki or the five course tasting menu, served with local wines.

First and foremost, Franschhoek is famous for its food and wine- the vast amount of top rated restaurants and wine farms of the Valley make this an ideal location for food and wine lovers! For those seeking adventure, Franschhoek offers mountain hiking, bike rental, hot air ballooning, horse riding and zip lining in Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve. A number of golf courses are available nearby, alongside a spa, offering a rage of treatments, including massages, reflexology, facials, manicures and signature treatments.
