One of central Porto’s finest boutique hotels, Porto Royal Bridges was transformed from an emblematic 1970s building by interior designer Nini Andrade e Silva. The location is perfect, situated close to the baroque church "Clerigos Tower", adjacent to the historic Livaria Lello Book Store, and a stone's throw from Aliados Square and the iconic Sao Bento train station.
The public areas are particularly opulent, with the likes of cork walling a feature of the hotel's contemporary decor. The bedrooms are just as splendid, albeit rather more restrained. Spread across over six floors and three different categories, each one has been furnished and designed to spec. And, there are comforts aplenty – complimentary WiFi, mini bar and air conditioning – all offset with crisp white linen and contemporary Portuguese art.
Perfect for a light meal or pre-dinner drink, The Eiffel Bar is a favourite with guests and locals alike. There’s also a sun-dappled terrace and a charming courtyard to make the most of the famously sunny Porto weather.
