About
Recommended for:
Natural world | Wildlife
Mammals, reptiles and bountiful birdlife can be seen amid the lakes, lagoons and marshes of the Iberá Wetlands. On this three-night extension you’ll stay at Puerto Valle, an estancia on the wetlands’ northeastern border, a late 19th century manor house set within 14 hectares of landscaped gardens. It’s an ideal base for exploring the region as you head out on a programme of water and land based activities that range from guided boat tours and kayaking to horse riding and fishing. Each evening, return to the estancia to celebrate all that’s great about regional Argentinian food as you tuck into mouthwatering dishes of fish and steak accompanied by fresh vegetables, herbs and fruits all sourced from the estate and its surrounds.
This extension is suitable for…
Get a taste for tango in the 'Paris of South America', then gaze in awe at the advancing ice of the Perito Moreno Glacier and the thundering power of Iguazu Falls, before living life gaucho style with a stay in an estancia.
