Day by day itinerary
Days
1-2
UK/Luxembourg City
From the comfort of your included VIP airport lounge, you’ll board a flight to Luxembourg City, where you’ll make your way to your hotel. Centrally located, you'll have all the capital's delights on the doorstep. Wandering the cobblestone streets will bring you between historic sights and the modern city. That’s without mentioning the walk along the Corniche; the underground tunnels carved into solid rock; the lift to Pfaffenthal to discover the many levels of the city; or the art and culture in the Fëschmaart quarter of the Old Town.
Stay: Grand Hotel Cravat, Luxembourg (Superior)
Day
3
Wiltz
Collecting your hire car, you’ll travel north through central Luxembourg to Wiltz, surrounded by wooded hills and quiet valleys, located in the heart of the Éislek region in the Upper-Sûre Nature Park. The 10th-century castle of the former Counts of Wiltz, houses a brewing museum with its micro-brewery showing the centuries-old beer brewing tradition in Wiltz. Continuing north, you’ll sweep through vast farmland and forested valleys of the Éislek region to Clervaux.
Stay: Château d'Urspelt, Clervaux (Superior)
Day
4
Clervaux
Home to the large Benedictine abbey of St Maurice, and 12th century castle restored after its destruction in World War II. We recommend a visit to the Museum of the Battle of the Bulge within the castle, then enjoy the town where houses sit side by side with cute cafés that spill out onto the streets. Your base tonight here is an 18th century castle located in the heart of the Our valley.
Stay: Château d'Urspelt, Clervaux (Superior)
Day
5
Vianden
Heading south today, you’ll drive through forests, across rushing rivers and along pretty lake shores to arrive into Vianden on the banks of the Our River. With narrow streets, and medieval castle, perhaps take a ride on Luxembourg's only chairlift for panoramic views of the city and castle, or choose from a variety of hikes which make the most of the Vianden icons.
Stay: Hotel Belle-Vue, Vianden (Superior)
Days
6-7
Echternach & Müllerthal
Travel on to Echternach, your home for two nights, a historic and cultural town set among rolling countryside. Here, grand houses, and a great abbey remember its ancient roots. From Echternach, explore the Müllerthal region also known as ‘Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland' with dense woodlands criss-crossed by rushing streams, towering sandstone formations, narrow rocky ravines, mysterious caves and gorges and an amazing variety of plants and trees.
Stay: Hotel Bel-Air, Echternach (Superior)
Day

Moselle Valley Route du Vin
Today, we highly recommend a slow drive along the Moselle River where sun-drenched hillsides produce internationally renowned wines, crémants and late harvest wines from its most famous grape varieties (Pinots, Auxerrois, Riesling, Rivaner, and Elbling). There are plenty of opportunities for tastings, vineyard walks and stops at farm-to-table restaurants. Spend your last night near Remich with its panorama of vineyards and dense forests that surround the city like an amphitheatre.
Stay: Hotel Domaine La Foret, Remich (Superior)
