Just 90 miles from the Arctic Circle and close to the border of Syöte National Park and two excellent ski resorts, Iso-Syöte is Finland's southernmost fell and sees more snow in a year than anywhere else in the country. The Iso-Syöte Hotel offers a range of accommodation, from cosy log cabins to stunning suites – call us for upgrades – and a wide selection of winter excursions including snowshoeing, skiing and snowmobiling to husky and reindeer safaris. This tailor-made stay includes four nights comfortable hotel accommodation, and leaves plenty of time for optional activities.

UK/Iso-Syöte
Enjoy included airport lounge access before your flight to Rovaniemi via Helsinki. On arrival, transfer to Hotel Iso-Syöte, which looks out across the lakes, hills and forests of the surrounding national park. Check into your cosy accommodation and spend the rest of the day relaxing and getting accustomed to your new snow-bound surroundings.

The next three days are left free for optional excursions. Perhaps learn how to drive your own dogsled team, take a snowshoe hike across the fell, try downhill skiing – something very few hotels in Finnish Lapland offer – or embark on an evening's snowmobile safari in search of the Northern Lights. The region is also well noted for its superb downhill skiing - a relative rarity in a land where cross-country is king. There are 17 slopes and 10 lifts to choose from, offering something for all abilities. Just be back in time for sundown; the area is famed for its gorgeous red sunsets and catching the spectacle is a wonderful way to round off days of Arctic adventure.
