Tanzania is truly spectacular, a country blessed with endless beauty, ancient Maasai culture and, of course, some of the world’s most spectacular wildlife. There are the herd-trampled plains of the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater’s wildlife-filled expanse, and the chance to step off the beaten track in the likes of remote Tarangire and beautiful Lake Manyara. Arrive in Arusha
You’ll be met on arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport by your included transfer, bringing your exclusive group through the Tanzanian countryside to Arusha. Here, you’ll stay in a cottage on the shores of Lake Duluti, enjoying pretty views of Mt. Meru and the chance to taste your way through Tanzanian coffee country. It’s the perfect relaxing introduction. For those looking for something a touch more active, head out to explore on idyllic walks, lake canoe trips and mountain-bike trails.

Tarangire National Park
Following a safari briefing, your driver will bring you through the traditional villages that dot the Maasai Steppe’s maize, coffee and banana plantations to the glistening marble and hand-woven carpets of your luxury lodge in Tarangire. Surrounded by ancient baobab trees, you’ll be perfectly placed to explore the park on a pair of included game drives. Other than laying claim to the largest concentration of elephants in Africa, Tarangire’s lush greenery and epic savannah is also host to elusive leopards along with over 400 species of birds. It’s all watered by the park’s mighty eponymous river – ideal for catching the zebra mid-drink.

Lake Manyara
After a morning safari and lunch at your lodge, you'll depart Tarangire for journey north to Makuyuni and on, across a scenic escarpment, to your lodge. perched on the edge of the Rift Valley with sweeping views across Lake Manyara,. Its glorious shimmer is best taken in from your chic rondavel’s private balcony or with a cocktail at the horizon pool and verandah bar. Look out to leopard-dotted woodlands as the sun slips over the horizon. You’ll also be treated to the first of your full-board meals, with gourmet menus showcasing the finest in local ingredients.

Serengeti National Park
Begin today with an expert-led game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, skirting pools of hippos and stalking through forested plains host to elephant and giraffe. There are even bright-pink flamingos and tree-climbing lions. Your driver will then see you through highlands covered in fields of wheat to arrive at the Serengeti. Here, you’ll stay in stone-built rondavel hidden in an acacia grove for views of the park’s iconic plains from your private balcony, the fine-dining restaurant and, yes, the infinity pool. You’ll also explore on a range of included game drives, bringing you among the leopards and rhinos of the Big Five before tracking the million-strong wildebeest migration – a predator’s delight.

Ngorongoro Crater
After a bush picnic and final game viewing in the Serengeti, you’ll continue through remote Maasai villages to arrive at the very rim of Ngorongoro Crater. Here, your rock-hewn private balcony and the crackling fires of your luxury lodge’s gourmet restaurant gaze out over what is the world’s largest volcanic crater. It’s where Africa’s highest density of lions roam free. The next day your included game drive will see you descend through the morning mists to the crater floor, its myriad ecosystems – from swamps to shifting dunes – teeming with wildlife. Although it’s possible to spot the Big Five in a single day, your picnic lunch by a hippo-dotted pool is a special highlight.

Zanzibar - Stone Town
After breakfast you’ll retrace your route through the plantations of the Maasai Steppea and after a lunch stop in Arusha you'll arrive back at Kilimanjaro Airport for your included flight hop to Zanzibar’s white sands and sparkling sea. Here, you’ll be met by a private driver who’ll see you to your luxury accommodation in UNESCO-listed Stone Town, a colourful maze of narrow streets framed by coral-stone mansions and Persian bathhouses, all steeped in the centuries-old heritage of the spice trade.

Zanzibar - beach
Spend the final few days of your holiday on Zanzibar's idyllic southeast coast, with the bungalows and half-board indulgences of Breezes Beach Club. You’ll be set right on a palm-fringed beachfront, enjoying the chance to spot whales and dolphins, dive with turtles or take a tour of the island’s famed spice plantations.
Note: Please note Breezes Beach Club will be closed for refurbishments during 03 March and 31 May 2025. Please enquire about any alternative options.
