Husky Sledding & Northern Lights Tour
After a delicious filling breakfast, you'll begin your programme of included excursions with husky sledding. Your guide will introduce you to your friendly team of huskies, before a short briefing. Then it's time to relax; sitting on a comfortable sled, your professional musher will drive you over frozen lakes, snowy forests and through picturesque trails until you reach a scenic point, ideal for a spot of fika - time to warm up with a coffee, and some snacks. After a brief stop, your huskies will be raring to go. Your journey continues back to the retreat, with plenty of opportunity to stop for photos. Once back at the retreat, a delicious warming lunch will be waiting for you before an afternoon at your leisure to explore the surrounding snowy landscape.
This evening's dinner is brought to you by the resident chef; using the best local ingredients and cooking methods, and taking inspiration from the many generations of traditional cooking. Then, as the evening draws the attention focusses on the skies above. Having consulted the forecast, a local professional photographer and guide will pick you up and take you on a Northern Lights photography tour. You will travel to the best locations on the night, within an hours drive if necessary, to find and learn how to photograph this amazing phenomena. You will need to bring your own camera with manual settings, tripod and memory cards. Refreshments, warm drinks and fika are served during the course of the evening.

You'll set out over the frozen Råne river, exploring the beautiful nature in a stunning wintry landscape. There will be chances of seeing reindeer and other wildlife and your experienced guide will show you the way, telling stories about life in the frozen north. Before heading back, there's time for a stop where your guide will cook you a tasty wilderness lunch.
Back at base, after another sumptuous dinner, you will have the last evening at your leisure. Perhaps fire up the sauna or relax in your hot tub after a long day of adventures, making sure to keep your eyes peeling for an appearance from the aurora.
