This morning, after breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport for your flight to Meru National Park, renowned for its rugged wilderness and diverse wildlife. On arrival, it’s time for your first game drive en-route to the camp, you’ll be immersed in miles of savannah enveloped with meandering streams, turbulent rivers and unspoilt wilderness. Afterwards, arrive at Elewana Elsa’s Kopje nestled into Mughwango Hill, the camp is named after Elsa the lioness from the 1966 film Born Free and features elegant open-fronted cottages that blend seamlessly with the surroundings. In between game drives and a visit to the rhino sanctuary, cool off in the refreshing swimming pool and round off the day with the safari tradition of sundowners in the bush.

Today starts with a guided hike up Mughwango Hill, offering sweeping views of Mount Kenya and Meru’s expansive plains. Afterwards, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Loisaba Conservancy, a 58,000-acre wildlife reserve in Laikipia, where you'll spend the next two days. Arrive at Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp after an exciting game drive en-route. Expect luxurious open-fronted tents with views over Laikipia plains alongside stylish furnishings and ensuite bathrooms featuring solar-heated rainfall showers.

The wildlife encounters here are rich and varied, with a range of tailored options. There are classic game drives, or opt for thrilling expeditions through the bush atop a horse, mountain bike or even camel. After lunch, perhaps you’ll delve into the cultural tapestry of the Samburu village or gain first-hand insight into Loisaba’s pioneering conservation efforts during a visit to the conservancy headquarters. Following breakfast, you’ll be driven to the airstrip for your flight to Nairobi Airport. You’ll then be met on arrival and transferred to the Four Points by Sheraton where you’ll have the use of a day room to relax before heading to the airport for your overnight flight, arriving in the UK the following day.
