UK to Keflavik
Begin in style with complimentary airport lounge access before your flight out to Keflavik, picking up your 4WD on arrival and taking in roaring waterfalls, lava fields and colossal peaks before arriving at Hotel Grimsborgir, all Scandi-luxe style. Enjoy the likes of mountain lamb and Icelandic cod among the dining room's cosy fireplaces before you head to your private deck and spot – with luck – the dazzling shimmer of the aurora.

The Golden Circle
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel’s gourmet restaurant, overlooking one of Iceland’s finest salmon rivers. We recommend a full day to explore the iconic Golden Circle. Discover hot springs, magnificent waterfalls and remote fishing villages, from Strokkur's bursting geysers to the bubbling mud pools of the Great Geysir. Finish the day at the spectacular Gullfoss waterfall and UNESCO World Heritage Site Thingvellir National Park, a mystical landscape of rippling, ice-slicked islets.

South Coast
Today, after another hearty breakfast, we suggest setting off along the blustery South Coast, stopping at the 60-metre-high drop of Skógafoss, a waterfall swelled by two glaciers, as well as witnessing the roar of Seljalandsfoss’s rippling falls. Finish with a stroll on the black sand beaches of Vik before heading back to the hotel for a soak in one of the hotel’s hot tubs, which make for excellent vantage points for the accompaniment of – luck depending – the raking lines of the aurora.

Reykjavik
Head to Reykjavik and the hip Hotel Reykjavik Centrum. Perhaps climb the tower at Hallgrimskirkja for panoramic views, get a sense of the city’s past at the National Museum or venture out from the harbour on a whale-watching tour. Depart for UK
After breakfast, head to the airport for your flight home. Why not stop at the famous Blue Lagoon, where you can enjoy a soak in its bright blue mineral-rich waters, naturally heated to a consistently balmy 37-39°C (supplement applies and pre-booking is essentials – contact us for more information). Then, transfer to continue to the airport for your flight home.
