The elegant Manor House forms the centre of the resort, where you'll find a range of rooms and suites - all with views of Castle Harbour - comfortable sitting areas and modern-day essentials like complimentary Wi-Fi and iPod docking stations. Outside the Manor House, three villas each have eight Deluxe Rooms that can easily be connected to form one- or two-bedroom suites.
A particular highlight of staying here is the Beach Club - an eight- to ten-minute shuttle ride from the main reception - which offers access to the island's largest private beach and boasts two freshwater pools and a restaurant overlooking the surf of the South Shore (open April to October).
It seems chefs are on hand to tempt you everywhere, from the fine-dining restaurant The Point to poolside at Palm Court, at the Beach Club in season and even at the golf course clubhouse.
To burn back the calories, you can try your hand at yoga, tai chi, tennis or croquet; give the clubs a swing on the putting green, driving range or championship golf course; or make the most of the warm water through the diving and water sports centre.
Or relax for a while at the world-class spa, where massages, facials and traditional treatments from all around the world are made readily available.
We like: Taking a ride to the Beach Club for a dip in the ocean.
Best for: Anyone from spa or golf enthusiasts to couples in search of romance in the sun.
