Overlooking the frozen sea and snow-covered islands of the beautiful Luleå Archipelago, Brändön Lodge - part of the long-established Brändö Adventure Camp - is a perfect winter playground, where guests can indulge in an array of exciting excursions from husky safaris to guided snowmobile adventures. Comprising just 15 cosy two-bedroom cabins with en suite bathrooms and small private kitchen, the lodge is the perfect base for exploring the unique frozen wilderness of Swedish Lapland. This four-day mini break includes a husky safari and snowmobile tour across the pack ice of the archipelago, which freezes up to a metre thick during winter. Each evening you'll enjoy a sumptuous three-course dinner and a relaxing soak in the sauna, which overlooks the frozen sea.

1
Arrive at Brändön Lodge
Fly from the UK to Luleå via Stockholm and transfer to Brändön Lodge for a three-night stay. You'll be provided with warm winter clothing on arrival, before enjoying an afternoon relaxing in the sauna, followed by a delicious three-course dinner.

2
Snowmobiling
After breakfast you'll enjoy a four-hour guided snowmobile excursion across the frozen sea and islands of the Luleå Archipelago, taking in the breathtaking winter landscapes and learning from your guide about life in the northern wilderness. The tour takes you to the 17th century fishing village of Brändöskär, located in the outer archipelago. Here you'll visit a traditional fishing hut, try your hand at some ice fishing and take a ride out to the seemingly endless fields of pack ice and snow, stretching away into the Gulf of Bothnia, some of which is as much as ten metres high. Enjoy a wilderness lunch cooked over an open fire before return to the lodge for dinner. This evening, keep your eye on the sky in case the Northern Lights make an appearance.

Husky safari
Today you'll enjoy a thrilling husky safari from Brändön Lodge to the local husky farm and back to the hotel, taking you along beautiful forest and lake trails as you drive your own team of dogs. Tonight you'll enjoy another wonderful three-course dinner and a further chance to see the Northern Lights.
