With its one-of-a-kind design and stunning Lapland location, a stay at Sweden's ICEHOTEL is a truly unique experience. Constructed from the ice of the nearby Torne River, 200 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle, each year's hotel is an intricately sculpted reflection of the cultures and landscapes of Sweden's far north. Flying into Kiruna, and transferring to Jukkasjärvi, this classic short break combines a night in a freshly carved Ice Room with two nights in warm accommodation. Throughout your stay, you'll choose from a full complement of exciting wintertime excursions; perhaps try your hand at ice sculpture, head into the wilderness on snowmobiles and husky sleds, or enjoy a leisurely day of Nordic skiing before returning to warming saunas, delicious Lappish food and cocktails at the hotel's ICEBAR.

UK/Kiruna
Begin your holiday with included airport lounge access before your flight out to Kiruna and transfer to the ICEHOTEL. Everything at the hotel was once running water, from the sculpted ice beds and furniture to the shimmering chandeliers and the private wedding chapel. Ornate ice sculptures sparkle in the suites and communal areas, and when the sun is past the yardarm (which really doesn't take long at this time of year), you'll find cocktails served at the 45-foot ICEBAR. Upon arrival you'll be provided with thermal clothing and shown to your Ice Room or Art Suite, if you've gone for an upgrade. With temperatures hovering around -5°C, there are reindeer pelts and expedition-standard sleeping bags, rather than Egyptian cotton linens, to keep you warm throughout the night. This, after all, is a hotel like no other.

In the evenings, keep an eye out for the Northern Lights before returning to the hotel for a night in one of its cosy Arctic chalets, complete with warm bed and central heating.
