Natural world | Relaxation
Set on a mountain originally named 'Sleeping Buffalo' by the region's first Nations people, this rustic mountain-style lodge offers comfortable accommodation in a beautiful setting. The location is peaceful, yet only 15 minute walk from the centre of Banff. The lodge is furnished in rustic style with lots of natural stone, hand-hewn timbers and high vaulted ceilings and is surrounded by fragrant spruce, pine and fir trees. Elk and deer are frequent visitors who often graze on the lawns outside the lodge windows.
Location
Buffalo Mountain Lodge is located a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive from the centre of Banff. Banff itself is a 1½ hour drive from Calgary on the Trans-Canada Highway. Parking is available and there is also a complimentary shuttle between the lodge and downtown Banff. A Park Pass is required for anyone entering the park and these can be purchased online. Please ask us for more details.
