Location
Perched high on the Nyika Plateau within Nyika National Park, Chelinda Lodge overlooks a crystal-clear dam and panoramic views of rolling hills and high-altitude grasslands. Located 120km from the town of Rumphi, it takes approximately two hours by road transfer.
Accommodation
Eight twin-bedded standard chalets feature en suite bathrooms; guests who stay here take meals in a nearby communal area. The more luxurious family chalets each have two bedrooms, a lounge and dining area and fireplace and well equipped kitchen. The chalets are ideal for small private groups.
Dining
The lodge restaurant offers a full English breakfast, light lunches and delicious three course dinners in the cosy dining room in front of a roaring log fire.
Facilities
Nyika National Park is home to a wealth of animal species. Morning and evening game drives with experienced and knowledgeable guides allow you to see and learn about all the incredible diversity of wildlife that inhabits Malawi. Fishing, birding, mountain biking and hiking are other activities guests are invited to participate in.
