Newly built in 2017, the five-star, boutique Eagles Villas offer private-pool luxury and breathtaking Aegean Sea views. The exclusive, contemporary villas – adjoined with next-door hotel Eagles Palace – are also set above a gorgeous private beach framed by crystal-clear ocean, with excellent dining options and a serene spa.
Set high on the hillside affording magnificent sea, sunset and sunrise views, guests look out from private terraces, balconies and private plunge pools, all wrapped up in ultra-modern lines, brilliant whites and soothing muted tones. Almost all offer sea, sunrise and sunset views, and you can, of course, expect all the mod cons, from Nespresso coffee machines and wine coolers to WiFi and speakers. For true indulgence, opt for one the one, two, or three-bedroomed Residential Pool Villas. With private gardens and sprawling lounge areas set over two stories, these ultra-contemporary suites offer outdoor dining areas on private decks and truly stunning views.
When it comes to dining, guests can take advantage of the adults-only, a la carte Eleanos for ultra-fresh pizzas and pasta, or need only walk a couple of minutes to the adjacent Eagles Palace Hotel. Here, expect beach-side taverna-style dining at Armyra, international flavours at buffet restaurant Lofos – complete with live cooking area, wine tasting table and sea views – and prime steak cuts at Vinum Grill in a gorgeous palm tree-dotted garden setting. The crowning glory, though, is Kamares' seasonally-inspired menus, created by two-star Michelin chef Arnuad Bignon – think sea bass carpaccio and seafood dolma with hollandaise – served alongside unmatched views over Ammoulianito island. There are plenty of choices for those after-dinner aperitifs, too, including the ultra-stylish Cabin Bar, live music-accompanied Eagles Club and Ammos Beach and Pool Bar for toes-in-the-sand dining and drinks – waiter on hand – the latter turning into an outdoor cinema come nightfall.
It's all the perfect set up for relaxing on the hotel's private, sweeping stretch of beach edged by ultra-clear waters, whiling away the hours by the pool or indulging at the serene spa, the likes of poultice-stone massages and superfood facials on the menu. There's also the chance to explore the Ammouliani islands, just a 10-minute boat ride away, as well as snorkelling, paddleboarding and diving. If you're keen to explore, it's an easy taxi ride to the small town of Ouranoupolis for excellent fish restaurants, souvenir shops and its historic Byzantine tower with a museum.
